It was a long time ago; I don't exactly remember when, but I do remember that I was still in elementary school. The moment was unforgetable for me because it was my first time going to another country. The country I was heading for is Singapore, the country that has the Merlion statue. I was pretty excited and went straight to create my passport. It was in Jogja that day, the day before going to Jakarta for departure, and unfortunately I got toothache. My family was debating whether I should go to Singapore, but the little me insisted on going, so I did. From Jogja, we went to Magelang first for a rest, then to Brebes to stay a night in my grandfather's house before going to Cirebon the next day and staying there a night too. From Cirebon, I go to Halim Perdana Kusuma airport in Jakarta and take the Garuda Indonesia airplane. On the plane, I was surprised because I got a mini mystery toy. Of course, the little me was excited to open it up. I got a mini Jeep from opening the mini mystery box, and I was so happy. It took us 1 hour of flight time to get to Singapore.
When we arrived, we were welcomed by the locals in Malay. But of course the little me doesn't know that there is a language called Malay, so I think that they speak Indonesian. I was so impressed that the Indonesian language is used in other countries without knowing that it is Malay. Aside from that, it was my first time seeing such a large airport full of strangers of various ethnicities. Even the airport has its own mall, I think to myself with my eyes full of stars. We already booked a hotel, so all we have to do is order a taxi. The taxi amazed me with how fast the driver drove in the middle of Singapore. We've already reserved two rooms, one for boys and one for girls. It was a nice hotel, and the little me liked it very well, but unfortunately, I just vaguely remember the hotel part.

In Singapore, we went to several places, including the Merlion statue, Universal Studios, and the Singapore Mall. Universal Studios was the most fun for me. We went ahead to ride the rollercoaster, but the little me was too afraid, and so I was left alone with my uncle. We went to the other ride that had a very long queue, but the ride was just basic. After that, we went to see Shrek in 4D, which was my first experience with 4D, and I had a great time. The last ride is the Transformers ride, which is also 4D and was the most enjoyable for me at Universal Studios. We close the day at Universal Studios by eating burgers.
And with that, the Singapore experience came to a close.
