A crucial epidemic that human beings struggle to deal with in this modernity of the instant era is obesity. An excessive amount of fat that builds up in the body increases the risk of health and makes it the major cause of death in this world. Nearly three million people each year die as a result of being obese. Each year, world obesity rates have tripled since 1975 and reached 650 million obese people in 2016. Although genes and hormonal changes influence body weight, obesity occurs when you take in too much high-calorie food and do not burn it through exercise. In the United States, obese people might eat high-calorie foods before feeling hungry or eat more due to stress and anxiety before becoming obese. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the US obesity prevalence was 41.9% in 2017. It was estimated that the medical costs for adults who had obesity were $1,861 higher than medical costs for adults with a healthy weight. However, in some countries, obesity is not a critical epidemic that kills a large number of people. Obesity affects only 4% of the Japanese population. Most of the reasons why the Japanese can keep up their healthy weight and be slim are their healthy eating habits.
