As an educator, it is my belief that regular assessment of one's progress is important for successful growth. it is paramount that I assess myself to see where my strength lies and what my shortcomings are; so as to build on them and make the necessary adjustments not just for myself but for my students' success. There are many ways in which an educator can assess one's self and some includes:

peer assessment

journals

portfolios- my e-portfolio:

self-assessment/evaluation- checklist, which you will find attached

Asking for feedback- whether from the students are fellow colleagues who have observed the lesson is important as this is a readily available method, which gives me the opportunity to see know my strengths and weaknesses immediately.

Being assessed by others is also important as sometimes we will tend to miss some details or be biased. Below are observations that were carried out by my mentee and supervisor and also a self-assessment checklist, that I have completed.
