Molding minds shaping the future; one child at a time.
Educating our nation's children is paramount as we strive to build the education infrastructure and develop the next generation. Achieving this goal is and a "chalk and talk" thing but requires of each educator to dig deep and think outside the box as we cater to our chargees with different learning styles. So it is then that as educators we need to develop or use resources that will enhance the teaching and learning experiences that we offer to our nation's children.
Resources developed by me included songs, poems and short stories which were compiled in a resource booklet. Resources used from other sources included apps such as: makebelief comix, jeopardy, Quizzes, kahoot, animoto (making of videos) amongst many others
Story Time
Student's uses the makebelief comix app to write stories. The app is also used during read-aloud/ comprehension segments; where stories are written and children are given the opportunity to read and then answer questions.
Who said learning can't be fun. The picture above highlights students engaging in a game of Jeopardy. The game was used to evaluate the lesson and students' understanding of the concept taught.
"Run come quick"
This is a poem that I have written about the clock and its features 2 years ago.
There are a number of resources that educators can use to enhance their lessons, these ranges from textbooks to games but not limited to. It is important that these resources are implemented and use as not all students learn from just talking, some are visual while others are tactile learners and it is important that we cater to all learning styles.
Below are some resources used to enhance my lessons whether they be original or copied.
Splash Learn is another type of resource used in class, it is used for assessment, homework and testing to see if students understand concepts of such. Students are graded and their parents are sent weekly reports of their progress.
