Known as the Frost King and the God of Forges, Udarr challenges his followers to prove themselves to him before his respect, what little there is of it, is given to those that fall before him. He is not a kind god, but it is seen as a necessity to ensure that his followers remain strong against all others that would challenge them. One does not ask something of Udarr without having proven themselves to the god, lest he send demons to tear the unfortunate apart if he deems them unworthy.
There is somewhat of a division in the worship in Udarr, these aspects are attributed to him and it seems that his influence spreads across more of the world than previously realised. Some of these worshippers sometimes even see themselves pitted against each other, speculated to perhaps be for Udarr’s amusement or to see which of his followers are the greatest warriors.
The Runaharr worship the unforgiving aspect of Udarr, The Frost King, the god that guides them, stepping through his icy path, their lives a testament to the resilience that Udarr has given them. They are eager to prove themselves in battle, not only against the nations of man, but also all that steps through the thin cracks of the veil, created by Udarr to constantly challenge them.
The Malmr see Udarr as the Forge God, guiding their hammer with powerful strokes, crafting weapons akin to a prayer to Udarr. While diminutive, their prowess on the battlefield is an offering to the god of the forge, their weapons weaving destruction on their enemies, which strangely is sometimes the Runaharr when a raiding party dares attempt to breach the halls of the Malmr.
The Thalachni also worship Udarr as part of their Pantheon, headed by Galei, has made home for many of the world’s gods. His aspect in Thalach is a combination of the Runaharr and Malmr beliefs, his temple often adorned with hunting trophies and weapons.
Ice and the Forge, while not a god of fire, it is something to be challenged and tamed. Some would also consider Udarr to be a War god given his desire for his followers to prove themselves.
Udarr is depicted as a giant, his skin and hair as white as snow, a scowl permanently on his features, often he is seen holding a hammer or an axe, these weapons being popular to his followers as well.
The Runaharr, Malmr, and to a lesser extent the Thalachi people are the main worshippers of Udarr.
The great halls of Udarr are open to those that die a worthy death in the eyes of the god. His realm is icy and cold, but at the heart lies something of a paradise surrounding the great hall of Udarr. Here his people revel in his presence, regaling tales of their battles, enjoying feasts and wine. However it is not a constant revelry, as Udarr takes his warriors into battle beyond the edges of his realm to defeat the demons that flourish in the void between.
