LOCATION ;; hogwarts or the streets of london/new york
AGE ;; 17 years
STATUS ;; student, homeless thief
HOUSE ;; ravenclaw
cat's magic manifested after she ran from the fostering system. as she tried to get back to amy and jon's, her magic caused chaos. under the ring, copper kept her from being found by the wizarding world, and so it wasn't until after she escaped from juvie that she was found by the system.
cat is a strange witch due to her years of abuse. having never used a wand, she's actually more comfortable and familiar with wandless magic, something she's adapted to for survival. she is no master of it, and it didn't and still doesn't often work for her, but now she is rejected by wands and forced to go without.
her trouble and use of magic around muggles has her in trouble with the ministry... her breaking of laws has her in trouble with muggles. going to school is now her escape from the punishments of both. a bed, food... she doesn't like dealing with others and being forced through an education when she's behind by years and can barely read, however. so she is standoffish to most, but she'll put up with teenagers rather than going to some prison: magical or not. in return, most of the school is wary of her. an all around criminal, a bad attitude, and weirdly wandless.
as long as she attends, she has a chance to make "amends" with the ministry as she learns the way of the wizarding world, and she is cleared from her trouble back in the muggle realm. she's in ravenclaw, which baffles everyone due to her pitiful level of intelligence by comparison to her housemates.
she has a strong connection to thestrals and loves to admire them, though she also does well with about any magical creature - preferring them over humans. due to this, she's actually on really good terms with hagrid
she'll pull out her throwing knives before she'll pull out a wand when she feels in danger, and she still keeps the weapons on her, hidden beneath her robes
because of her love of stars and her negative attitude, cat is actually rather talented with divination
she's smitten with scott, a gryffindor heartthrob, but will NEVER admit it. their secret make out sessions will stay as such so long as she can help it
being wandless doesn't make her more powerful. in fact, cat's far behind in her education and magic. she just has been rejected by all wands she's tried alongside feeling uncomfortable with one taking up a free hand. her body has adapted to wandless magic for her survival, but it can take her just as long or longer to learn spells
she's in ravenclaw due to her deep down creative spirit, her internal desire to learn, and her quick wit
