homeward bound

back in juvie, the therapist there, margaret, grew to care about cat.  to realize that she could make a difference in the young teen's life.  when cat disappeared in the night during the transfer, margaret quit her job at the facility, believing cat to be dead.  she couldn't change lives there while that place held her back.  she moved to new york and opened a practice working with youth.  chance would find cat showing up in her office one day... the brunette encouraged to visit at freddie's coaxing when cat had recognized margie's name on a sign outside of the building.  the man pushed her to go for her benefits, and to try and give another shot at  maybe fixing her life.
having kept in contact with amy and jon, the therapist got a hold of them once she and freddie were able to get cat in a relatively stable place mentally... one where she wouldn't immediately run off again.  when the two came, cat was on edge.  she was angry and still set in her belief that amy and jon abandoned her.  yet margaret helped smooth things out and cat slowly because to realize and comprehend that she was lied to.  though still nervous, cat allowed amy and jon to finally bring her home as they had wanted to do years ago.
with help from scott's family, cat avoided jail time ( aside from just good lawyers, her luck continued in terms of evidence against her...  "escaping" juvie and then further stealing were all they could add to her record ).  her punishment was to place her on probation, sentenced to community service, and expected to attend therapy as well as see a psychiatrist.  cat was finally getting medication and help she needed, but her behavior was still on edge.  the reunion with scott was shaky at best, and the two were antagonistic for months.
it didn't help that through social media and paparazzi following scott's life, cat's made the tabloids, as well.  copper got wind, realizing she was still alive and had eluded him still.  in fury, he gathered birdie and crackshot, located where she was now living, and launched an attack.  he ended up doing so on a weekend scott and his immediate family were in town.  though everyone survived of the peterson and wilson household, it was not without injuries and trauma.  cat was able to get crackshot's rifle, and she murdered copper herself in front of her new family.  but instead of fear, they could now understand her pain... and the reasoning for the measures she had once taken.
moving forward into healing, scott and cat finally started to get along, finding solace and frienship in each other.  cat felt a new sense of release and freedom while scott better grasped what she had struggled with.  they fell in love all over again, beginning to date, growing closer with each month.
they eventually found a house together, got pets, a greenhouse, found cat "jobs" and sports and started carving out their place.

• CAT IS DATING A FAMOUS ACTOR. she has been in the news frequently because of this

• a number of things in the press about her are negative - she was on trial, she endangered scott, she's not pretty enough, her killing of copper being brutal etc. etc - concerning her being scott's girlfriend, but there's a few nice things about her highlighting her community and volunteer service dedication

• most good media about her will be on scott's social media pages, where she's become a big star in pictures and quotes and the like, all revealing the sweeter, happier side of her

• she's fallen in love with photography and has a decent following on her instagram account

• she lives with scott in LA now, often occupying herself if not doing service or with him on set for a show or movie he's involved in.

• she can't travel with him out of the country until she's off probation, however

• she doesn't ever achieve a "normal" part time job somewhere, but when scott has a greenhouse built for her, she turns it into a job of sorts and goes on to sell her flowers and herbs. she has quite the green thumb and adores her plants, finding pride in herself for being able to care for something

• her other "job" is fight choreography due to her first hand knowledge of fighting and gang fights. sometimes movies scott's in or who just know of her will hire her to come and inspect a few of their action scenes. usually to improve the scenes and fighting to make them more believable ( especially for smaller characters like her ) or come up with new creative moments

• she is occasionally given small roles when she's older as she is a decent actress and some casting directors like the chemistry she and scott have.  it's never anything big, generally just a spouse role to his character.

• she loves to scrapbook with the pictures she takes, and there are a few scrapbooks she's filled lying around the house

• she gets scott a kitten she names chocolate chip one year for his birthday.  he gave her butterscotch, a little, fluffy pup for their first christmas as friends again

• she gets a small storm cloud tattoo to mirror the lightning bolt tattoo scott has

• paintball becomes her main sport and competition of choice. it allows her to get her adrenaline pumping and relive moments of "danger" without actually being in any danger. it also makes good use of her aiming. she also enjoys archery, throwing her knives, whittling, and hiking to get her energy out
