Vesemir was born in Ferelden where he learned to fight and fend for himself. He travelled to Kirkwall with his family as a refugee and ended up falling into many situations that he never intended to.

To start with Vesemir is a big flirt and very coin focused. He wants to live to a much higher standard than what he has been reduced to and is willing to put in the effort with coin as an incentive. He does not take himself or things too seriously and can come across as quite vain at times. Over his time in Kirkwall however, he grows fond of those who he ends up protecting and does start to do so more organically than for a price.
