Starcrafters
Unlike their surface dwelling cousins, Starcrafters make their home deep underground, hollowing out massive ravines with complex tunnel and cave systems.
As the name implies, Starcrafters are a very creative race, spending most of their time collecting resources - specifically rare metals and precious gems - and putting the materials to use. They are famous for their crafted jewelry and fine engineering.
Another common passtime for these cave dwelling dragons is gemcutting. Not only do they shape and chisel away at the gemstones they dig up, but Starcrafters have taken to carving up their own lifegems. Dangerous, perhaps, but definitely something to brag about.
Trait Rarity Key COMMON UNCOMMON RARE LEGENDARY
Starcrafters eyes are very sensative to light, with pupils that narrow in the daylight and expand to take in more light when they are underground. Unlike the rest of their kin, Starcrafters have plantigrade legs with small feet and thick pawpads. Males have six horns, as well as long ears that hang past their shoulders, Females have only four horns, and shorter, mouselike ears.
Wings
Though it seems ironic that any Stardragon who makes their home deep underground might sprout a set of wings, it's not completely unheard of. These Legendary dragons usually have a leathery, batlike wing.
Tail Types Starcrafters use their dense tail gems to break rocks while excavating, brushing away dirt with their tails. Other tail types evolved to help with digging and rock breaking. Examples; Common Furred, Uncommon Spiked, Rare Spade, Legendary Firelord
Shale: Starcrafters often sport patches of shale which cover various sections of their bodies, The shale does not have to match their lifegem colour.
Pictured (left) are examples of common shale growth patterns.
Deepforge Clan (right) Living deep underneath the surface, these crafters exhibit curled ears, digging claws and specialised pupils. Although they are common, very few venture to the surface.
Spines: Chitinous spines line the backs of their legs and elbows. They aren't particularly sharp or firm however, and can easily bend to avoid self injury. Examples: Spiked, Ridged, Furred, Bare of leg and arm spines.
