Hasakeh
Overview
In Hasakeh governorate there are approximately 75 informal settlements and collective centres hosting 21,500 individuals (4,200 households). The majority of sites are collective centres.
The majority of last-resort sites opened in 2019, prior to this there were no currently open informal settlements or collective settlements in the governorate.
Areas of origin
Based on REACH light profiling data, the first reported governorate of origin in informal settlements and collective centes is Hasakeh governorate.
At a sub-district level, Ras al Ain sub-district in Hasakeh governorate is the most commonly reported area of origin followed by Hasakeh sub-district.
The population in these last-resort sites were primarily displaced by conflict in September 2019 and have remained around Hasakeh with no current possibility to return.
