Abu Khashab Camp

Abu Khashab camp is located in Deir ez-Zor governorate, Kisreh sub-district, hosts approximately 10,400 individuals (1,900 households). The camp opened in 2017 with IDPs in the camp originally from the eastern areas of Deir ez-Zor governorate, especially Mahkan sub-district. There are also populations from the countryside of Homs and Abu Kamal. All of these populations were originally displaced by ISIS campaigns and have been unable to return to their areas of origin. 

The camp has a static NGO Camp Management presence and a Camp Administration.  

The camp is subject to an ongoing and long-standing HLP issue.
