Roj Camp

Roj camp, located in Hasakeh governorate, Al-Malikeyyeh sub-district, hosts approximately 2,400 individuals (700 households). The camp was established in 2015 and originally hosted refugees displaced by ISIS from Iraq. The majority of Iraqi families left although some remain. The camp now primarily hosts ISIS affiliated families with some families being moved from Al Hol annexes to the camp. 

The camp has had two expansions, the first created in June 2020 and a second in February 2023. Populations within the camp have restricted freedom of movement. 

The camp has a static NGO Camp Management presence and a Camp Administration.
