Twahina camp is located in Raqqa governorate, Jurneyyeh sub-district and hosts approximately 4,600 individuals (900 households). The camp was originally an informal settlement in 2014 hosting families displaced from Homs and Hama. The site changed typology into a camp in 2018.
A large proportion of the households were relocated to Mahmoudli camp in 2019 however not all agreed to move. Since the relocation new households have continued to arrive to the camp, arriving from informal settlements around Raqqa City having been originally displaced by conflict or more recently the economic situation. The camp has no fence.
The camp has a static camp management presence and a camp administration.
