Al Hol Camp
Al Hol camp is located in Hasakeh governorate, Hole sub-district, and hosts approximately 41,000 individuals (11,500 households). A camp has been located in this area since 1991 for Iraqi refugees during the Gulf War and again in 2003 following the conflict in Iraq. During the Syria crisis and as of now, Al Hol hosts IDPs displaced by ISIS campaigns as well as ISIS affiliated families. The camp has been expanded multiple times and is the largest camp in Northeast Syria. Populations within the camp have restricted freedom of movement.
The camp has a static NGO Camp Management presence and a Camp Administration.
