As a part of the celebration of National Science Day and to encourage Diploma Engineering students’ interest in science and to sensitize them towards intellectual and practical activities involving the study of structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world, Science & Humanities Department of Dr. S. & S. Ghandhy College organized “Science Fest 2025”, under “ISTE Student Chapter” of the Institute on 11-03-2025. The event consisted of various competitions including exhibition of Working-demonstration model, poster presentation and quiz competition under the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat.” Students studying in each branch of the institute participated in the celebration of “7th Science Fest 2025”. On this occasion, the Principal of the Institute, Head of Department of Science & Humanities, Heads of various departments as well as lecturers and other employees of the institute were present to encourage the students.
On 23-02-2025, under the leadership of the Principal, online registration link was published by Science & Humanities department to participate in various competitions of the event. For the first time Working-demonstration model was categorized in two sections: - IOT based and non IOT based Working-demonstration model presentation. Approximately 437 students from various departments enthusiastically registered in different competitions. 218 students in participated in quiz competition, 111 students in 43 non-IOT models/projects, 86 students in 43 IOT models/projects and 22 students in 8 poster presentations. Spot registration entries of 2 IOT based and 1 poster presentation were also accepted. Total 360 students had actively participated in the various categories of competitions and presented their works.

The Science & Humanities department hosted a quiz competition on Ramanujan and Basic Mathematics. It was held on December 24, 2024, at 11:00am-12:00pm, to commemorate National Mathematics Day, the birthday of the great mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan. Mr. Jayesh B. Vasava and Ms. Asma H. Rajavada were the event’s co-ordinator and co-cordinator, respectively. Total 32 students of first year diploma engineering have actively participated in this competition. Three winners were chosen after three rounds of 15 points each. The winners were presented with medals and certificates by Principal of our institute.
