The Department of Mechanical engineering department organized an event to observe "Samvidhan Hatya Diwas" (Emergency Remembrance Day) to commemorate the imposition of Emergency in India on June 25, 1975. The event aimed to create awareness among students and faculty about the importance of safeguarding democratic values enshrined in the Constitution and reflect on the lessons learned from that dark chapter in India's history.
The observance of "Samvidhan Hatya Diwas" served as an educational reminder of the importance of democracy and constitutional governance. The event successfully raised awareness about the risks of authoritarianism and reinforced the commitment of the department towards upholding democratic principles.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT
1. Thermal & Hydro Power Plant, Ukai –15/03/2025
51 students visited the Ukai Thermal and Hydro Power Plant with faculty S. D. Patel and A. B. Patel.
The visit, part of the curriculum, was arranged via GSRTC bus and provided insight into power generation. It was a very informative and interesting experience for all students.
2. Technical Workshop & SETU Foundation, Bardoli (Surat) (7-01-2025 to 9-01-2025)
A total of 92 students attended a technical workshop and visited the SETU Foundation to learn about new-generation machines.The visit was highly educational and exposed students to modern industrial practices.It was conducted as an essential part of the academic curriculum.
