Teacher absence date: Wednesday, Sept. 21

Sp. 1-3 Plans: Using this reading and your notes from Friday, please illustrate and briefly summarize the key points in history that led up to the September 1821 independence from España of six Latin American countries: México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Use the paper provided on the classroom table. Your storyboard can be anywhere from 9-12 key points. One or two sentences in English, per illustration, is plenty. Whenever possible, reword the content into your own wording. You will not be graded on your artwork, but rather your ability to distill the key points from the reading. I recommend that you first highlight 9-12 key points in the reading before starting your illustrations/explanations. If inspired, feel free to seek out further details of your own. Please know that your work will be posted for display for others to learn about this sequence in history.

DUE: End of class -- please leave your work on the classroom table.
