Enas Mythos

Music: Nana Mouskouri

The Greeting Dance is also a leave taking dance from the Island Kos, Greece.

Possibly Pre-Christian – hence of considerable age: “the most ancient surviving European dance”.

Has possible links to Turkey. Stepping into  the centre affirms ones identity, stepping back as part of the group, stepping to the right shows the group flowing onwards together. The spiral is an ancient symbol of flowing energy.
