Margie is a somewhat plump Mobian hedgehog with orange-pink fur, black eyes, wide hips and slightly pudgy arms. She wears a purple waistcoat and gray boots.

Margie has strong maternal instincts, even telling Amy that "That guy Sonic's too much of a slob! Marry that wise guy... err... Shadow instead." She also has a hatred for Sonic, even telling him to "stay away from my girl, hobo". She runs the daily newspaper, and even tries to put in stories that put Sonic in a bad light, She is also shown to have a short fuse, snapping at employees whenever they say her work is a bad idea.
