The Dvaravati people were rice farmers. They used a buffalo to pull a plow in order to till the soil. People worked in teams of three people, one to guide the buffalo, one to push the animal forward from behind, and one to control the plow. In addition to rice, Dvaravati people also domesticated and ate animals such as pigs, goats, hens, and ducks. They also hunted small animals, possibly using a pellet bow and clay pellets.
