Precautions/Tricks: As per AMM

1) During installation of filter cap , flat portion should be in fwd direction (in scavenge filter).

2) Evenly engage filter cap screws then tight in criss-cross pattern.

Warning: Always use updated AMM / IPC,Task card, etc for performing any work on aircraft.
