Door Damper N2 Charging

AMM Ref: 52-10-00

Consumables: As per AMM

1) CFC & Rag pieces

2) Teflon tape

3) Soapy water.

4) Locking wire (thin)

Tools:

1) N2 Adapter # qty-02

2) Adjustable wrench # 10"

3) Spanners # 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4

Support Equipments:

1) N2 Trolley- HP (High pressure)

Precautions/Tricks:

1) Ensure N2 Cylinder has sufficient pressure ( min 2000 psi).

2) (Remove door damper operating pin.....??)

Engage spanner (3/4) with charging valve check nut after that connect N2 pr. hose and make sure all connections are correct & tight.

3) Two qualified person are needed for this job.

4) First one will set N2 Cylinder pressure at 2000 psi, and increase pressure gradually by pr. regulator.

5) After that 2nd person will gradually open check nut of Accumulator charging valve , when desired pr. reached, tight the check valve.

6) Release pr. by regulator then close pr. of N2 cylinder.

7) Remove pr. Hose, N2 Adapter and spanner and do leak check, make sure no leakage from N2 charging valve.

Warning: Always use updated AMM / IPC,Task card, etc for performing any work on aircraft.
