How can I take part?

As a new member, you're gonna want to find something to do. You can apply for the top jobs, but the chances of a new member being elected are slim, but has been done before!

Jobs

The following bodies, departments are roles are easy for new members to join and a great start to understand each area.

• Military - Apply with the General

• Department of Advertising - Apply with the Head of Advertising

• Department of Integration - Apply with the Head of Integration

• Department of Archives - Apply with the Head of Archives

• Department of Foreign Affairs - Apply with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

• Bar Association - Become a Certified Attorney and join the Bar Association

• SDBI - Become an SBDI Patrol Officer and work your way to Detective. Apply here

• Join an existing organisation, like SimDem News, or make your own.

• Become a Bill Writer - Write your own bills and make your way to the Senate.

Outside of jobs:

• To talk to a few people and try to be a little active

• Try to learn as much as you can, don’t be afraid to ask

• Try to run in elections, although you may not get elected on your first try, there are some benefits such as:

  • Making your name more well known, which will help in the future, and causing you to think about the subreddit and its strengths and weaknesses. Additionally it’s generally lots of fun and if you do win, you get a high ranking government position!
