A Prosecutor works on behalf of the Government and is appointed by the Attorney General (AG). These members of the Judicial Branch cannot represent average, everyday citizens, instead working on behalf of the government. Prosecutors are usually trusted citizens who know their way around the law of SimDem; their job is to seek justice, and while that does not mean getting a conviction every time it is their duty to see that justice is meted out in a court.
It's my job to prosecute on behalf of the State of SimDemocracy. Attorney General assigns me a case, I gather evidence, schedule a trial, and finally, take part in that trial, arguing for a guilty verdict on the person who's indicted.
