There are two types of parties in SimDem, political and community. Political parties are those made for serious politics, and community parties are more like groupings of people to celebrate or joke about something in SimDem.
POLITICAL PARTIES: Political parties are serious ones that are made for a purpose and a particular ideology or view. They are mostly serious.
The SPQR. The party of growth, the party of community, the party of strength. Since the early days of SimDemocracy the SPQR party has stood for these principles - we created the senate, we created the military, we created the departments of advertising and integration, we created the department of foreign affairs, we created the first pinned QNA threads and casual conversation threads.
The SPQR pushes the ideals of:
Growing the subreddit by between 50 to 100 subscribers every week.
Integrating as many of those new subscribers as possible.
Ensuring that when the economy is built (its been a work in progress for a long time at this point) that the government should not interfere except to prevent exploits that break the ‘game’ and to promote businesses to provide services that will assist the community.
Maintaining the defence forces of SimDemocracy, they should be kept strong and prepared to take on any threat.
Creating a more welcoming and friendly community.
Making sure that the constitution is reliable and adaptable to stand the test of time.
Spreading democratic ideals across reddit through peaceful methods.
The SPQR has many polices in order to fulfil these goals, which will be in our manifesto that we will be releasing soon.
These policies and ideals are chosen by the members of the party through democratic votes, SPQR is a party for the members by the members. So, if you like the look of these ideals and are interested in the party, come along and join the party – you will find our party to be a warm community of nice individuals, where hopefully you can enjoy yourself and push to improve SimDemocracy. Ave SPQR! Ave you!
The SPQR has many polices in order to fulfill our goals which are in our manifesto:
The Common Sense Party believes in dealing with matters using common sense. They try not to be biased from opinions, and instead deal with matters using facts whenever possible.
The reborn group of neutrals who want to see the community be positive and a better place. They will take a neutral stance on issues and decide through party vote how it should be approached. If you have any questions ask Flamingninja1 or any other fun members!
The officially oldest monarchist party on SimDem, officially! We want SimDem to be a constitutional monarchy. All Monarchists from any other party welcome, duel party membership welcome!
Learning from the past mistake of the NRP and MF, the CPSU is a leftist party based around the ideas of Marxism-Leninism, uniting it under the sun Trotskyite and Stalinist all the way up Marxist-Leninist reformer such as Gorbachov in a attempt to create a true communist party in SIMDEM
The Socialist Party stands for Worker's rights, varying degrees of government interference in the economy, varying degrees of hate speech legislation and legal equality. Note that slight deviations of party policy in regards to main issues are accepted inside the party
ACP is a party for those whose values either fall between the left and right, or Liberalism and Centrism. You do not need to be a pure centrist, but have some kind of ideological or political view that falls in between two extremes.
We will transfer some power from the executive branch to the Prime Minister, we think that an Executive led republic could get too personalist, make it a even-powered republic and be more a Senatorial Democracy.
We will advocate for Unions to be formed and gets the rights to protect their members, they will have the right to protest and criticize the government.
We will make our best at getting the best workers conditions and make a safe work place .
A manifesto will be published... someday... so, People of the Country! Get a Voice!
The TPP hopes to prevent tyranny from the judiciary, executive, and legislator. This includes preventing undemocratic laws, breaches of citizens rights, and violations of our democracy. On top of this, they hope to reform the judiciary to prevent the mishandling of justice.
What is the PRP and what do you stand for? - The PRP is the "People's Reform Party", and we're a Social Democratic Libertarian Party. We stand for Freedom of Speech (without harassment, libel, or calls to violence); we stand on a staunchly anti-war and anti-conflict platform, we will only use military force in our direct self-defense; we also support a full investigation of all those responsible for the raid on/brigading of SimCaliphate. We stand against Racism, Homophobia, Xenophobia, and Fascism.
COMMUNITY PARTIES: Community parties are those made for fun, or as a joke. They are typically community oriented and do not have political views.
The water party (H2O for short) is the only party on the sub that highlights water pride as one of their main issues. Though our stance on water is very defined, our other stances are very fluid and can vary from member to member. Anyone from any party can join us in securing rights and freedoms for all water!
This party be standin’ fer many o’the same things as most worldwide pirate parties, such as freedom of speech, freedom of information, and a more direct democracy. Whenever the economy be finally implemented, this here crew shall largely advocate for only minor government intervention in such affairs, as everyone is entitled a share of the booty.
The "Unlikely To Get Elected" (UTGE) party is a party meant for people who are unlikely to get elected to any elected office.
Our main goal is to REEEEEEEEE
The very simple truth is that Britain has illegally occupied Northern Ireland, to this end I am creating the IRA party to support various initiatives to free Northern Ireland through democratic referendum.
(this is a joke party)
Some of the main policies I have gathered from our great leader are growing the discord, expansion and integrating new users. I believe automod would also like us to make bots equal to humans. It is disgusting that bots are treated inferior to humans.
We believe that all people should have as many roles as possible. The party leader is the guy who has the least amount of roles that isn't already a party leader. We all need to apologize to 8bit for making this party once a week
