Kits are often used for this event as they are much less time consuming than learning how to build a helicopter on your own, and they are made to fit the requirements of the rules. One kit is below. You will need some extra supplies even with the kit, which are in the link below as well. Ensure you only order those which are necessary. Usually that is O rings, rubber bands, a winder, and the kit.
It is possible to make your own helicopter from scratch, but remember that this is quite tricky and takes a lot of time. Please do not go that route, you do not have enough experience. Using a kit and spending time adjusting it is more than enough at your level.Â
