TPL 3: Planning & Evaluating Shared Education Through the Pupil Pathway
About this programme
Introduction and Programme Aim
This module has been developed to support teachers with the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Shared Education across partnerships. The module focuses on the Pupil Pathway for Shared Education which has been developed to support schools across Northern Ireland.
The Pupil Pathway provides educational outcomes, from Pre-School to Post-16, which directly come form the Northern Ireland Curriculum. These outcomes can be met through Shared Education partnership working and this module helps to outline to practitioners how this can be achieved.
A series of activities and resources are provided within the module. These can be used by partnerships to support their current practices and improve future practice development in the area of Shared Education.
The overarching aim of this module is to allow practitioners to become familiar with and understand how to use the Pupil Pathway in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Shared Education. In addition it is anticipated that teachers will:
Reflect on their own practice in order to understand their own beliefs and values
Access a range of resources and materials which support Shared Education Partnership working
Familiarise themselves with the Pupil Pathway and how it can assist their partnership working
Audit their current practice in order to plan for future Shared Education
consider examples of practice within the Pupil Pathway which may inform future Shared Education programmes

Cliodhna Scott-Wills (NICIE)
Cliodhna works within the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education (NICIE). She was a member of the working group which was created to develop the Pupil Pathway.
Paul Close (Education Authority)
Paul was responsible for leading a cross-organisational team to develop the Pupil Pathway for Shared Education.
Judith Morgan (CCEA)
Judith works within the Curriculum and Assessment Team in CCEA. She is responsible for PDMU in the curriculum and Shared Education developments in CCEA. Judith was part of the working group which developed the Pupil Pathway for Shared Education.
