The Shared Education Hub has been developed, by the Education Authority, to:
Promote cross-sectoral partnership working
Develop an understanding of Shared Education
Build the capacity of the school system to deliver highly effective Shared Education
Share best practice from teachers, school leaders and academics
Explore new approaches which can improve outcomes for children and young people
Establish the link between Shared Education partnership working and School Improvement
Facilitate teachers with a range of resources and materials that can be used to deliver Shared Education
The Teacher Professional Learning programmes developed within the Shared Education Hub, aim to promote, encourage and facilitate Shared Education as outlined within the Shared Education Act in 2016.
The development of vibrant, self-improving Shared Education partnerships, which are delivering high quality educational outcomes while promoting reconciliation, good relations, respect for diversity and equality of opportunity for all, is essential as we move towards Mainstreamed Shared Education.
