Flatland was a book assigned to me as homework in a mathematics course when I attended high school a long time ago.
Today, Nov 12, 2019 is the first time I have revisited Flatland and this time it is to search for SETI signals.
In the days of my high school youth, I would not have thought I would use the Flatland book as a source for SETI investigations.
To paraphrase Google, it is all about search, and with that in mind I boldly searched in Flatland.
I spent only a few minutes today searching in Flatland and so far I have found only three SETI signal instances.

Juxtaposed with the following totally nonrandom text from Flat Land.
"Whereas the States had been troubled by divers
ill-intentioned persons pretending to have received revelations from
another World, and professing to produce demonstrations whereby they
had instigated to frenzy both themselves and others, it had been for
this cause unanimously resolved by the Grand Council that on the first
day of each millenary, special injunctions be sent to the Prefects in
the several districts of Flatland, to make strict search for such
misguided persons, and without formality of mathematical examination,"

Mysterious UFOS Could Be Extraterrestrials Traveling Through Extra-Spatial Dimensions, Physicist Claims, TheScienceTimes, April 10, 2024
"Avi Loeb, a Harvard scientist, appeared in the new documentary "The Paranormal UFO Connection." According to him, we would be awe-struck if alien technology reached our doorsteps because they were so advanced and had something we didn't possess."
"It's like a cave dweller coming to a city like London or Europe and seeing all the technological gadgets there," Loeb said. There will be a sense of religious awe, and we wouldn't understand it, especially if we are dealing with the effects of quantum gravity that we have any clue about."
"For the past few decades, the dominant paradigm in theoretical physics has been that unifying quantum mechanics and gravity is impossible without involving "extra-spatial dimensions."
"Loeb added that in our daily lives, we only come across three of them. However, the others are supposed to be curled. Furthermore, unless we launch particles with extraordinarily high energies that will explore these tiny scales, we actually can't detect them."
"Of course, if there are extra dimensions, then the reality that we are familiar with extends into them. Then, one can imagine life in more than three spatial dimensions. It will be far more diverse and interesting," he added.
