VET Certificate III Music (Scored)

Study Overview

Certificate III in Music (performance specialisation) is a two-year course that provides an authentic and hands-on learning experience within the domain of music. The program, once completed, enables students to obtain their CUA30920 Certificate III, being a nationally recognized qualification. Undertaking this study allows students to enhance employability skills within the music industry, as well as providing the opportunity to apply a broad range of knowledge and skills in a range of different areas. These skills include organisation, leadership and time management within the industry. Students will build their capacity in the domains of being an instrumentalist and/or singer, through developing sound editing, music making and music composition skills. As well as this, stagecraft skills, performance preparation and technical skills will all be explored. 


Students wishing to receive an ATAR contribution for the Unit 3/4 sequence must undertake scored assessment for the purposes of gaining a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study.
