VCE VET Certificate III Events  

Study Overview

SIT30516 Certificate III in Events enables students to develop skills and acquire an understanding of the everyday tasks undertaken by workers in events management. It aims to provide knowledge and skills to achieve competencies which will provide entry level skills within the events and hospitality workforce, so that students can make a more informed choice regarding career pathways. Throughout the course students will learn how to communicate event ideas, gather information, plan and organise activities, work in teams and solve problems. In the first year students will develop and promote a special themed event. The second year will focus on larger events with skill development in team building, working with clients, and event coordination. 


Other key areas such as customer service, event destinations, event registration and coordination are covered throughout the course. Students who successfully complete the Units 1 to 4 sequence of this course will gain a nationally recognised qualification as well as units contributing to their VCE or VCE VM program.
