COVERAGE CHANGES, DATE CHANGE & REFUNDS
Can I change my coverage start date?
Yes, changes to the coverage start date can be made before the certificate becomes effective. Once the coverage starts, changes are no longer allowed.
Can I cancel my certificate?
You may cancel before the coverage start date for a full refund, provided no claim has been made.
How long does it take to receive my refund?
Refunds are processed after verification and normally take 7–14 working days, depending on payment method and provider.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan after purchase?
No. Plan changes are not allowed after the certificate is issued.
CLAIMS PROCESS & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Notify Senang within 30 days after returning and submit supporting documents through email or WhatsApp.
Depending on the claim type:
Accident/Death: Medical report, police report, death certificate
Medical Expenses: Original receipts, medical report
Loss of Baggage/Documents: Airport/property irregularity report (PIR), receipts, confirmation letter
Travel Delay: Airline confirmation of delay
Most claims are processed within 14–21 working days, depending on completeness of documentation.
All approved claims are paid via bank transfer to the participant.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE & HOTLINE
Yes. Most Takaful operators provide 24-hour worldwide emergency support, including medical evacuation and repatriation.
Each Takaful operator has its own hotline. Details are provided in your digital certificate.

EXCLUSIONS & PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS
Not covered:
Pre-existing medical conditions
Suicide or self-inflicted injuries
Hazardous sports
Alcohol/drug intoxication
War, riot, nuclear events
Illegal activities
Travel undertaken for medical treatment
No. Any condition diagnosed or treated before the departure date is excluded.
Normal pregnancy and childbirth are excluded. Emergency complications may be reviewed case-by-case, depending on the operator.
Generally excluded unless due to accidental bodily injury.
TRAVEL INCONVENIENCE CLARIFICATIONS
Loss, theft, or non-recovery reported to airport authorities with a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
A delay beyond the minimum hours stated in your certificate (e.g., every 6 or 8 hours), confirmed in writing by the airline.
Cash, credit cards, phones, and jewellery are typically not covered.
CERTIFICATE & NOMINEE UPDATES
You may request an update through Senang before the coverage begins.
No. Takaful certificates are non-transferable.
Correction is allowed before coverage starts.
REGULATORY STATEMENTS
Yes. You have the right to cancel the certificate before coverage begins for a full refund.
No. Participation is voluntary and based on individual need.
