C Wire Notice
Has 4 AA batteries but can be hardwired for power
For hard-wiring, we do not sell the C-wire nor install it, this must be done by an HVAC tech (Verified with Tech 11/09/24)
The difference between this standard edition and the "smart/learning" Thermostat is that the other has a built-in motion detector connected to AI to auto adjust temps. (can also add a mesh network in the house with mini sensors to auto adjust to those rooms. You can also manually create schedules)
Common Issues:
Issue: Issue with Power such as the thermostat is dying?
Cause: furnace system does not have a power “C” wire
Solution:
They can have an HVAC tech to install a "power connector Kit"
Issue:Slow to response?
Cause: WiFi Issue
Solution:
Confirm that their network isn't overloaded or upgrade their wifi (they can also do a factory restart)
Issue:Not reaching desired heating temperature?
Cause: 9/10 times its an issue with the heatpump
Solution:
Check heatpump info below
Heatpump Issue
"Not have enough heat" is usually related to a heat-pump
Troubleshooting works with ADT (Alarm.com t-2000 or other series-) Thermostat
Google nest thermostat is not compatible unless we special ordered them the learning thermostat
Troubleshoot
Confirm if it has a heat-pump (this is not our responsibility, they need to have a HVAC check this out, not our techs)
If no heat-pump then there isn't anything that can be done, they can call up HVAC for further support.
