A Shock sensor should never be on a door
It can be screwed into the wall- However this is only if the cx requests for it. By default we use double-sided mounting tape
Changes in weather can effect the viscosity of the sticky tape and cause them to fall
There are Slim door/window sensors that the cx can replace the regular ones with, however these may be ran as an upcharge
Notification comes from the panel. It can be a chime, voice, or both
Common Issues:
Issue: Not Network?
Cause: Too far away to get a signal
Solution:
They will need a tech appointment with a repeater (we cant have the cx install the repeater and smart plug is z wave only)
Issue: Door/Window is closed but it says open on the ADT panel?
Cause: Usually Misaligned
Solution:
Have cx check to see if it is properly aligned (They may need additional mounting adhesive if its in a weird position)
Confirm that the sensor isn't on backwards (Residio logo should always be facing towards the small magnet.
Do a System Restart on 3ps (or they can manually do it on the panel) (if fails order a new sensor)
Issue: Door/Window constantly goes off?
Cause: Possibly incorrect settings
Solution:
Check 3ps on sensors information and make sure entry/exit delay 1 is the set not perimeter
Issue: Tamper Alert?
Cause: Misaligned or internal damage from fall or being hit
Solution:
Remove the back cover and front cover and have them place it back on.
Have cx check to see if it is properly aligned (They may need additional mounting adhesive if its in a weird position)
Do a System Restart on 3ps (or they can manually do it on the panel)
If error still shows up then order them a new one in the mail
Issue: It just wont do anything?
Cause: Could be internal damage or not learned in
Solution:
Check status on 3ps (Make sure it shows up on website)
Do a System Restart on 3ps (or they can manually do it on the panel)

Issue: Fell off the wall?
Cause: Temperature fluctuation, etc
Solution:
You can order them a repair kit for the sensor (If noticeable damage we can ship a new one)
IF they can get it put back up in the same position Do a System Restart on 3ps (or they can manually do it on the panel)
Snap the Smallbackplate to Magnet
You shouldn't have to put the cover on the sensor, its already shipped with it on
(dont put on backplates yet)
Apply adhesive
Large Backplate
and
Small Backplate
Begin 3ps process with regards to pulling out the tag.
After its learned in, proceed to the next step.
Slide
Large Backplate
on the sensor and push up (it will snap into place)
Mount to wall and door.
A)Ensure magnet is centered with the Resido logo
B)No further than 1/2 an inch
Snap the Smallbackplate to Magnet
If they already have the bracket on the wall, its ok to leave it.
Apply adhesive if necessary
Begin 3ps process with regards to pulling out the tag.
After its learned in, proceed to the next step.
Slide the new sensor onto the old backplate
(Or new one if necessary, then mount new one)
A)Ensure magnet is centered with the Resido logo
B)No further than 1/2 an inch
