Stalkers
A direct result of complete, unsanctioned incompetence in regards to gene-splicing of Terminid DNA, perhaps as some fruitless attempt to obtain more E-710. Now following the breakouts of many of these E-710 Farms it now comes down to us grunts on the ground to clean up their avoidable mess. A cunning predator far beyond the likes of even the Hunter, the Stalker or "Lictor" (seemingly named after some enemy in Superhammer 99000), is capable of the unnerving ability to ultilise chromatophores in its chitin exoskeleton to render it practically invisible, hence its name. When it does manage to ambush, it then uses its superior armour, arms and size to overpower, incapacitate and rip apart their prey. It is sly, smart and filled with primal rage, If you suspect a Stalker present in your combat environment, the best practice is to group up, watch your comrades' backs, and cross your fingers.Â
Fortunately for us, they are only capable of emerging from rare, specialised nests. Take note of where these nasty things are coming from and track them back to the nest, where you hopefully have grenades remaining to return the favour.
While combat against Stalkers is practically one-sided in its favour on account of its immense strength and armour. If the situation demands it, shooting the head is your best bet.
While capable of cloaking, they are not completely invisible, look out for any shimmer or flickering across the light, good chance it will be it skulking around.
