Brood Commanders
Some argue the origins of the Brood Commander are a direct result of unsanctioned genetic tampering of Terminid DNA by Super Earth, others instead argue its effectively just a matured Terminid Warrior. I for one do not care for such squabbles, so far as we on the ground are concerned they are a specialised Terminid strain capable of the alarming capability of releasing certain pheromones (with a side of authoritarian shrieks) to direct and guide lesser Terminids in combat, including directly summoning more Warriors. This alone is enough for the Ministry of Defense to priortise the dispatching of these so called "Lieutenants" before engaging with their lower-ranked rabble. Do be advised, they do live up to their name, they are bigger, meaner and faster than their Warrior counterparts.
Despite being better armoured and stronger in constitution, they have all the same weaknesses as their smaller brethren. Do be advised, perhaps as a survival instinct, they are still capable of releasing distress pheromones even when their head is completely destroyed
Brood Commanders are also capable of charging at great speeds, slamming whatever unfortunate with their increased mass. Stay vigilant during combat.
Alpha Commanders
The recent onset of the so called "Gloom" spore cloud and its rapid growth across the eastern fringe of our galaxy has been alarming to all Ministries and that of the High Command for many reasons. As for us, our biggest concern is the supposed effects it has on its own Terminid Residents, namely the great deal of unexplainable mutations they have caused upon them. Sporting thicker armour, spikier limbs and its distinctive twin-horned headcrest, the newly identified Alpha Commander or "Devil" is truly a nasty step up from the unmutated Brood Commander, with reports even saying the Warriors they summon have...changed somehow. Fortunately for us they only seem to be appearing on specifically high-risk operations. Do take care, Divers...
In light of their nastier and stronger build, they possess the same weaknesses and strengths of their unmutated counterparts. Approach them with the same priority, weapons and zeal as you did before
In addition, the Warriors they summon forth, despite their less encouraging appearance, have been noted by those of the Ministry of Science as to be "no less dangerous".
[Personal Note #83]: Who and where in the chuffing Ministry of Science do they hire these dolts!?
