Hunters (Predator-Strain)
The "Gloom" brings with it no end of wild mutations and changes amongst the Terminid genus that accompanies it, with perhaps the most worrying being the so called "Predator-Strain". While as of now thankfully rare and seemingly only contained upon a few select planets post Fenrir III, they are responsible for roughly 70% of all SEAF Platoon casualties inflicted in the first 2 weeks alone. In this particular case, the Hunter variant of Terminid undergoes a great deal of physiological and behavioral changes such as a harder carapace, greatly increased intelligence and most alarmingly, its carapace is capable of ultilising the very same chromatophores that its larger (yet unrelated) Stalker cousin were capable of doing, effectively rendering them nigh-invisible to the naked eye. I do not have to say twice in that every ounce of your superior senses will be required to hunt down these "Cloakers"
Fortunately for us, the same tactics designed to counter the larger Stalker can apply here. Much like them they are not completely invisible, look out for any shimmer or flickering across the light and shoot first, ask questions later.
In light of their increased intelligence, they will attempt to use pack tactics to their advantage, the Ministry of Defense recommends that upon suspecting a pack, all Divers group together with their backs turned and draw them out, personally though you are better off just using explosive ordinance to disorient and confuse them, or even beat them at their own game if you sight them guarding objectives.
