Watchers
Amongst the very first units we have catalogued, the seemingly benign Watchers true danger lies within its role, being the eyes and ears of the Illuminate forces that have recently returned to plague our worlds once more. Living up to its name, the Watcher is an automatous bio-drone that scours across its ill-conquered lands until it detects a target it deems "free-willed" where it will report to their masters through the firing of holographic flares, heralding the arrival of Warpships. In addition, it is equipped with a short-range shock prod designed for both self-defense and to pacify rouge targets. The Ministry of Defense highly priortises the swift destruction of these units before all else, as their mere presence can determine life or death, even if not by their "hands"
Seemingly aware of their importance, the Watcher is surprisingly sturdy for a small unit, being able to soak up a not insignificant amount of small-arms fire. That does not mean they are immune, the Photoreceptor being unsurprisingly the prime weakpoint. High-powered weapons will perform best against them
They are more often than not deployed alone, being easily identified by their visible scanning lines. That does not mean their travel paths do not involve passing by allies, choose the time to destroy it carefully lest you wish for unwanted attention
[Personal Note #55]: I remembered the Observer back then, these are toys by comparison, Alex used to mention an old movie back in the old century, something Orwell?, might be a cute name for this little guy [chuckling]
