Related Work Assignment (worth 20% of course grade)

1. Read 5 articles related to your project topic

if you are a PhD student, it can simply be 5 papers you would like to read for your qualifying exam list but they must present some coherent topic (see item 3).

if you are an MS student conducting research you can pick 5 articles related to your research

2.An annotated bibliography is required for each of the 5 articles (worth 3% each, total of 15%)

3.A summary paragraph that outlines how the 5 articles relate to each other and how they point to an open research question (worth 5%)

if you are a PhD student this can be a reflection of how the readings lead to a better understanding of your research area
