I specialize in landscapes and 3-D collage work. I have found while doing shows that my artwork draws people in to touch it. I treat every piece with sealant for that very reason. I love that they want to interact with my artwork. This painting “Blue Moonlight” will provide different sensory experiences, from the smooth, rounded rocky ground to the tree’s rough bark. There is the rippled feeling of the tree’s branches and then the cool to the touch tiny bumps of the beads that should produce almost a ticklish feeling. By pure chance I have enjoyed the experience of having a vision impaired person relate to my art. I did a fund raising event last year for Blue Jacket in Fort Wayne and my client’s mother was blind. It brought me to tears to see her feel the three paintings I did to honor her daughter’s journey. She had such a wonderful smile and was so grateful.
