I enjoy finding abstract shapes within the urban landscape, and reVISION inspired me to experiment with separating an image I had drawn into layers that could be experienced through touch. I have always been very nearsighted with astigmatism, and lately I find that working small helps me avoid distorting vertical lines. Often, the views I work with are ones that no longer exist (the Colts' domed stadium was deflated in 2008), which I hope prompts reflection on how we define a "view" and how we hold familiar places in our minds.
