ARTIST STATEMENT:

I created this piece with the idea of putting a lot of contrasting textures, from the soft string to the corrugated paper. Welcome to My World displays a house under the clouds and setting sun. Next to the house is a palm tree and pond surrounded by flowers with hills behind. This scene reminds me of books from my childhood, inspiring children to turn any situation into an adventure.
