Through my studies and work experience, I have demonstrated the ability to understand Policy and Law Competency

1. Developing, adjusting, and implementing policy to meet local, state, and federal requirements and conditional provisions, standards, and regulatory applications;
2. Recognizing and applying standards of care involving civil and criminal liability for negligence, harassment, and intentional torts;
3. Demonstrating an understanding of state, federal, and case law governing general education, special education, and community education.

Reflection

Through ED 631: Educational Law and Organizational Structures of Education, I was able to gain a better understanding about the policies education faces. I read more about "Case Briefs" and was able to comprehend more about the laws that effect education. While I was at Concordia College as a Career Coach, I was able to learn more about private colleges versus public colleges and how their school is funded.
