Abstract:
Abstract: In this talk, I will provide a concise overview of quantum channel theory, emphasizing its connections with open quantum systems and decoherence. The discussion will delve into key results related to the algebraic and divisibility properties of quantum channels. Armed with this foundational understanding, we will explore recent findings on quantum coarse graining. Additionally, I will touch upon families of Pauli-diagonal quantum channels, illustrating how they form sub-semigroup structures within the broader context of decoherence channels. The aim is to provide insights into the algebraic nature of quantum channels and their relevance in practical applications.
