Title: Entanglement swapping with minimal resources.

Abstract:

Here we study entanglement swapping with partially entangled projective measurements instead of using measurements of Bell states. This alternative protocol is then used to entangle two atoms trapped in different cavities with dissipation. Here we study the dynamics of the output concurrence, atom-atom, in both weak and strong coupling regimes. While in the weak coupling regime the concurrence takes almost stationary values, less than 1, depending on the degree of entanglement in the measurement state, in the strong coupling regime, with a concurrence of only 0.5 in the measurement state, it is possible to obtain a maximally entangled stationary state in the

atom-atom subsystem.
