Title: General Coordination for Government Innovation

Abstract :

The rapid development and the lowering prices of information technologies (IT) has allowed a fast adoption of these technologies in order to improve the operative daily routine across a wide range of human endeavors, in particular in the usual activities of public administration.

This fast adoption of computing has permitted an accumulation of data over a diverse range of topics on the government duties. Frequently, these data are comprised of valuable measurement on public infrastructure, for example the diverse data generated by CONAGUA; it is also possible that those datasets could contain insights on several social dynamics, as those data on scholar performance from SEP. It is valuable and desirable to deal with these data acquired by the government with the highest standards, adopt scientific protocols of data processing, and use statistical methods to obtain estimations or insights. During this talk, we will describe some implementations of data acquisition and data processing systems. Such implementations are based on the software development using open source technologies such as: Post- greSQL, Docker, Python, Git, Http, etc. These technologies are frequently used in developments for experimental physics, and can be used on a wide variety of data pipelines.
