Abstract:
The renormalization group (RG) is a mathematical technique which involves changing the length scale of a system while simultaneously rescaling its physical parameters to maintain the same overall behavior. This process reveals the system's self-similarity and critical behavior, we will see how this process allow the understanding of phase transitions and the calculation of critical exponents.
