Read "A Kind of Sad Love Story" by Jeffrey Lo

A full-length play about the growing pains of a post-graduate and young adult relationship; centered around a couple named Andrew and Emily, who can't seem to figure out what's wrong with them

Weeks 3 through 13:

Read 9 short stories from In The Country by Mia Alvar & Young Playwrights by Jonathan Dorf

Students will also practice writing their own scenes, applying concepts learned from Young Playwrights, which is an open educational resource (OER).

Weeks 13-17:

Students will spend the last five weeks of the semester producing their PCN script, writing ten pages a week and taking turns with different lead writers each week.
