Spring 2020

In Spring 2020, I continued my participation in the department and division.

  • Attended Department Meetings

  • Attended Division Meetings

  • Note-taker for February 2020 meeting

  • Read student applications challenging into English 105 courses

  • Submit grades early and/or on time (for both Fall 2019 and Spring 2019)

  • Participated as much as I could while working from home

  • Received condolences and positive thoughts from my colleagues when my mother passed away

Fall 2019

My goal in this first year of the tenure-track process to get re-acquainted with the campus I left as a part-time instructor. I’m still learning about the Department, the Division, and how I can best contribute. After a talk with Dean Chris Gibson, I was encouraged to reach out to my colleagues and continue to build with them. The items listed below mark the ways in which I’ve begun to meet and work together with my new colleagues.

  • Attended Division meetings (August & October 2019)

  • Attended Department meetings (August & October 2019)

  • Communicated absences and substitute needs with Dean, Division Assistant, and Department Coordinator (August 2019)

  • Familiarized myself with the process of locating a substitute (August 2019)

  • Voted and gave feedback about College Redesign efforts as needed

  • Attended Division Retreat and learned a lot about the various programs, responsibilities, and passion projects from my new colleagues (October 2019)

  • Individual, informal check-ins and getting-to-know-you sessions with colleagues in Language Arts who are not on my TRC: Nina Floro, Kathleen Feinblum, Nathan Jones, Lindsey Ayotte, and Jessica Hurless, Serena Mraz-Chu
