Spring 2020 Professional Activities

A lot can change in a semester. These various activities allowed me to continue becoming familiar with the college. These activities were led by the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, the Planning, Research, and Institutional Effectiveness (PRIE) Office, Meta Majors & Guided Pathways, and the Social Sciences/Creative Arts Division.

  • SLOAC Academy workshops:

    • "Crafting Student Learning Outcomes"

    • "Designing Assessment Plans to Strengthen Student Learning"

    • "Analyzing and Acting on Assessment Results" (canceled and re-scheduled for Fall 2020)

  • Honors Transfer Program Summer transition into Faculty Coordinator role

Fall 2019 Professional Activities

I’m still learning more about Skyline College and our role in the larger District. Being involved in these activities have helped me navigate the campus and what’s possible for future events and endeavors. In the future (and as of this semester), I’d like to help start a Filipinx American Library hosted within the Skyline College Library with an attached reading series. I would also like to be more involved with Creative Writing and Literature, while also working on how to update and reflect on my involvement in the CIPHER Learning Community. The activities listed below reflect my genuine excitement and passion to be a part of a few programs on campus that reflect my skill set, and what I hope to develop and support on campus in the future:
